SUHYEN CLASSROOM PROJECT

In 2018, Martin and his team in their own small ways decided to help the Suhyen SDA School with the little resource generated from his entrepreneurial initiatives. The dilapidated state of the school caught the attention of the philanthropist on his visit to the town as part of a community service usually held by the Keteke Ghana Club of GIJ.

The project ‘CITIZEN BUILD’ was to build a four-unit classroom block for the Suhyen SDA School in collaboration with Keteke Ghana. The school is around Koforidua in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

A durbar was held and chiefs and community members gathered to witness the start of the building. Both Martin and the Keteke Club also donated bags of cement for the start of construction. News about the project went viral and people began to develop an interest in supporting the project.

However, the project did not see light of day as Political Leaders of the area stopped the project for Government to continue.
